Purple yam drying process:
After peeling the yam, cut it into evenly sized yam slices. After water treatment, drain the water and put it into a stainless steel material tray,
and then put the tray on the feeder. Be careful not to stack them and leave space between the yam tablets. At this time, start the heat pump
dryer and set the drying temperature parameter to 50°C for 0.5 to 1.5 hours.
After the previous stage of heating, the dryer also started a small amount of dehumidification work. Then, when the temperature parameter
was set in the range of 40°C-50°C, the yam tablets in the room were at a low temperature and high humidity. In this state, water vapor will
form on the surface and condense into water and be discharged out of the drying room. The drying time at this stage is 3 hours.
Continue to raise the temperature by 10°C based on the previous step, and set the temperature parameters in the range of 50°C-60°C. As the
temperature continues to rise, yam tablets are in a state of moderate temperature and humidity. At this time, the continuous temperature and
circulating air transfer heat evenly to the entire drying room, the yam tablets continue to evaporate, and the water vapor is taken away by the
dehumidification system.
As the temperature rises and water vapor escapes, the moisture content of the yam slices will become lower and lower. When the temperature
parameter is set to 60°C-70°C, the dehumidification intensity will increase until the yam tablets are dried to a moisture content of about 10%,
which takes about 6 hours. At this time, the yam slices have been dried. Break them into crisp pieces with your hands and dry them evenly.
