How to dry okra with heat pump dryer




Prepare the okra: Wash and dry the okra thoroughly. Trim the ends and cut them into thin slices, about ¼-inch thick. Arrange okra on dehydrator trays: Spread the okra slices in a single layer on the dehydrator trays, ensuring they don't overlap. Set the dehydrator: Set the dehydrator temperature to 60-65°C. Dehydrating process: Place the trays with okra slices in the dehydrator. Dry the okra for 6-8 hours, checking every 2-3 hours to ensure even drying. Check for dryness: Once the okra slices are brittle and snap easily when broken, they are fully dried. Cooling and storage: Remove the dried okra from the dehydrator and let them cool completely on the trays. Once cooled, transfer the dried okra to airtight containers and store them in a cool, dark place.
