The drying of tangerine peel is mainly divided into several stages:
High temperature drying stage: Set the drying temperature to 65 ℃ (without moisture removal) and dry for 1 hour to make the fruit peel soft. At this time, the humidity in the drying room is around 85-90%. After the predetermined drying time is reached, touch the fruit peel with your hand to detect if it is soft.
Constant temperature drying stage: Set the working temperature of the dryer to 45 ℃, the humidity in the drying room to 60-70%, and the drying time to 14 hours. During the drying process, it is important to ensure that the tangerine peel is evenly heated to ensure consistent quality. At the same time, samples can be taken for weighing to achieve the target value.
Low temperature cooling stage: The temperature in the drying room is set to 30 ℃, and the humidity is 15-20%. The time is about 1 hour. When the temperature of the orange peel reaches nearly 30 ℃, it can be taken out, and the humidity is 13-15% at this time. (This stage can also be directly placed outdoors for cooling based on the outdoor temperature and the actual drying situation of orange peel).
Warehousing, storage, and aging: The dried tangerine peel should be packaged with materials with good breathability, no odor, and no pollution; The quality of tangerine peel stored off the ground, off the wall, or off the top in a high, naturally ventilated, and dry area for more than three years is better.
